Colin Smart, one of our Partners, cycles to and from work and part of his route takes him past “The Gathering Place” in Halifax.   Often he sees the work of this great organisation helping members of our local community who have hit on hard times.  As we have transited through lockdown the number of people outside the building has notably increased.  

This year we will be donating the money we would of spent on Christmas cards and postage to “The Gathering Place” http://ctcthegatheringplace.org/food-and-support-drop-in .  On average “The Gathering Place” give away 160 parcels a week.  Each parcel is valued at about £8 and will feed someone for 2/3 days.  Bread, milk, pasta/rice, sauces, baked beans, cereals and tinned meals are the staples.  

We hope you understand that not getting a card from us directly this year helps this great voluntary organisation.
