The SMART Rapid Aid & Treatment (R.A.T.) Pack™ is the practical solution to implement the Rapid Treatment component of the START protocol.

The equipment held in the ten “self help” packs has been specifically chosen to address life threatening conditions.

The first people on scene at any incident are the uninjured survivors - often caring for family members and co-workers they can cause obstruction to crews.

The SMART R.A.T. Pack™ turns these people into a useful resource.

To help bystanders and uninjured survivors save lives each self help pack provides:

• Simple instructions (in both English and Spanish)
• pair of latex free gloves
• 2 dressings
• a large alcohol free wipe
• a set of directions for those uninjured survivors involved in the incident.
• replacement self help packs are available.

This equipment has been selected as it requires no training and can help prevent deaths.
